Multi-room Home

Multiroom is a buzzword in our industry which at its most basic describes a system that enables audio/video to be distributed to different rooms or zones of your home.
All the equipment like Radio Tuners, MP3 Players, CD Players and Audio Servers can be placed in a central location and the music can be controlled remotely from keypads or touchpanels installed in each room.  In addition each room or zone can control and select an audio source independently and at the same time as other zones. 
What this means in reality is that while you soak in the bath listening to some relaxing music your spouse can be listening to the radio in the living room and the kids could be listening to the latest MP3s they have downloaded from I-Tunes in their bedrooms and as the equipment is stored centrally there is reduced clutter and no untidy wires. The only evidence you have a distributed audio system is keypad on the wall and speakers discretely recessed into the ceiling.
Multiroom technology is also constantly evolving to control other systems in the home. As well as audio distribution some of our systems can be extended to control video, lighting, heating, security etc.
